The Eye of Horus

Jan Geisen brings us this Eye of Horus collar sculpted from polymer clay and finished with patina wax.

It’s an interesting fusion piece with an Egyptian eye of Horus pendant superimposed on some hieroglyphs and Cretian looking collar, which looks like it was produced with a rolling cylinder seal impression. The cylinder seal look is nice touch and he detail is amazing here. The eye looks a good deal like faience, and the rest of it has a nice ancient bronze patina which isn’t an easy effect to master.
